About 12 years ago, Angus started to notice an increase in referrals for porn addiction. Many of the people who contacted him said were finding eliminating or even cutting down porn use almost impossible. At the time high speed internet access was becoming the norm and easy, cheap (or free), access to porn was increasing.

Much of the existing addiction literature didn’t apply to many of the specifics of porn addiction and through combining elements of evidence-based practice with a lot of trial and error testing, Angus developed a protocol to help people overcome porn use. Continued refinements and documentation of the protocol developed to form the basis of The Porn Addiction Solution.
